Awesome!! Thanks for the note and story! Makes me feel even better about the purchase. We’re really excited to try it.

That’s definitely some devotion right there to carry that thing a distance.

I got the lower priced model, only good to like -20° or so, LOL.
I have 3 other Exped pads. Awesome gear.

Yeah.. we’re in Florida and may move to SoCal. Either way, we’ll never see temperatures like that haha. Pretty badass though!

Well, the good thing is that pad insulation can't really make you too hot, it can only make you too cold. You can use that 9.5 R value in any conditions.

Yeah, definitely. I was just commenting on the -54.4F rating which is super extreme haha

Tag said a guy used it once and it hurt his back. It didn’t have any leaking issues which is why a lot of sleeping pads end up at garage sales. I laid on it at the store and it seemed insanely comfy for a camping/air mattress.

Some of the Exped pads fit between the wheel wells.

The double that I got is the full width of the bed over the wheel wells, around 54” I think. We’ll be using it on top of a platform we have. Not shown is an addition piece of wood over the open drawers to give us a full 6’ sleeping length. Still need to find a DAC tent or other way to keep the tail gate down and bugs/rain out

I cannibalized a 7x7 tent once and made something similar to the DAC tent.
    Cost me less than $30.

    Just a couple hours time.

Looking for photos of it now.
