Sorry no website, it’s just a group buy for the tents. So their are 3 different Hardshell tents that I can get my hands on, the first being the regular one that the group buy was started with, the wedge which I have order two in the past, and the larger size which has never been purchased before. So with that being said myself and others really only have experience with the regular 2 man tent, the wedge I have a little experience with having had one for one short trip to expo, the 3 man I can’t say anything about it. I only put up the wedge and 3 man up because people have asked for it to be included but it’s a first for this group buy round

Let me know what you need to know and I will answer all of your questions to the best of my ability. The weight is 150-160 on the safe side

only dimension change is width at 54 vs 48. I have a picture of one but it honestly does me no good sharing it because it may or may not be the product received, so I would rather save myself from extra questions coming from said picture. I would imagine the color options are the same, but I have never ordered one so I can't say for certain

What is the cost difference between the 2 or 3 man? When are you collecting $$ from those folks currently on the list? I have sold my current RTT and would like to be added to the list, as long as I can send funds anytime after next week....Thank you @ ChandlerDOOM

Looking like the difference will be $200 more at most. I do not collect any money until the list is full, and ready to go. So you are good. Do you want to be put down for a normal size or larger?

Put me down for the smaller one, if it is only width that is larger. I would be all for the larger one if it had some length. I am 6’2, and a little afraid of the shorter length of this tent compared to my traditional RTT, but I will make due.
Have you explored any insulation kits for these hardshell that might allow for true 4 season use? I was exploring the other hardshell tents out there, and found several that have zip in insulation kits for use during the winter.

Just because I don’t like to see questions go unanswered, I have talked about it before but I won’t disclose who I use. Hope you understand

What about using a hair dryer? Could that make it easier?

Put the tent up yesterday. Really stoked! Will Get pics later. The prinsu rack is a problem. The bars are so flexible. I spaced the tent 1/4" and it's rubbing the side rails. Probably have about another half inch of thread left before i run out of length on the bolt to space the tent. Anyone else having issues with the prinsu top rack?

Hi Coop68, You're spacing it with the extra crossbars. Is that working out? I was going to give this a try this week. Also how many crossbars do you have on your top rack?

Do you have any pictures of this issue. I have a toprac as well and want to see what problems I might have before ordering. Are the tent mounting bars recessed into the underside of the tent?

Edit: I see that they are recessed. I will probably buy a pair of extra crossbars and attach the tent to them for ease of removal from the rack itself. I will make some aluminum spacers to raise it up off the side rails.

Youll need to space the tent probably at least the thickness of the cross bar (Double up the cross bar). The tent deflects a good inch over a decent bump. Ill get pics later

I haven't gotten the tent mounted on my cabrac yet but I was thinking I could use some flat iron 1/4" and lay it front to to back along the side rails and a few pieces going across the prinsu bars themselves (side to side). You think that would work? I figured if it flexed at all, the 1/4" flat iron will sit higher than the side rails and should prevent the tent from hitting the side rails.

Well to late already got most of it off but not a bad idea!

So i havent put it on yet partly cause its cold and shitty out side and have nothing coming up to use it yet! Hopefully soon though.

I did place one of the bars on top of one another and it will work. It sits about 1/2” above the side rails. Just need to go get some more hardware to do it all.

@Coop68 I measured it, I think the bolts are short 1/4"-1/2" inch, couldn't measure it great, but probably need longer bolts than supplied with the tent.

I can guess we will need around 2.5 to 3.5" since the cross bas are 1x2 two of them stacked is 2" plus need about another inch or two to work with for threads. was going to start there but I will head to local hardware store I have here should have what I need planning on taking two bars with me. if I get a chance ill try and swing by this afternoon on my way home.
