What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

Oh I know. But I'll be rebuilding it first though. I'll probably wait until the current v6 decides to let go

It's that or when I decide to go LT. I know I don't need LT but it's how I want my truck to be setup at. I love the stance and Indiana does have dunes lol so there's that

 

The V8 won't be the only thing I'll be installing in the taco. Rear axle with a arb air locker might regear it as well. Rebuild my R150F transmission and transfer case, the tundra CV axles, drive shaft (going to get it reworked to fit in the taco) essentially it's going to be a hell alot of work but the end result will be amazing I think lol

 

Tell me about it. I parked in in front of my garage so our other car isn't getting in or out with it in the way.

 

I meant as in the v6 isn't gonna die really any time soon unless you regularly miss treat thus meaning you'd never do the swap haha

 

I know but it's what ever comes first and half the front end is going to be out anyway when I do LT might as well turn it to a engine swap as well. One problem I see already is the ECU. Can the tundra ECU plug directly to the taco ECU plug or do I need to rewire the entire thing

 

Do you really want to go overlanding, or just spend all your time building a truck that will never get used?

 

.........ugh look at Monte working on Frank? Lol but to answer your question I'm just a crazy guy who wants to go overlanding and trail riding. But i want my truck to stand out from everyone else's. can I go overlanding as it sits now? no doubt about it. But if you had the chance to do what I'm going to attempt would you do it?

 

You can keep it stock, or mildly upgrade the suspension and some creature comforts, and accomplish "overlanding" and trail riding easily.

Want your truck to stand out? Paint it hot pink and epoxy dildos to it.

I'll do it when I get home. I just thought it was weird the truck was getting approx. 13v to the leads and nothing worked. Not even the chime worked in 'ON'

 

Frank is broken because @Blackdawg drives him. Gets plenty of use. Doesn't even break all the time. Just had to be pulled out here.
