Yeah I just wanted them clean enough in the respect of
Why not clean up the simple stuff so they don't degrade
Or become harder to get in and out of that tube haha

I mean for what we paid for all the shocks on our trucks why not take care of them

    Especially the 2.5 bumps
That extra cost just for the Gucci and overbuild aspect makes me want to take care of them

Yeah I have every intention of pulling all my shocks off the truck every 12 months to clean and "service them" if not sooner

And I clean the truck hardcore detail once a month

The yearly prep is something a lot of people say to do and I'm guessing less actually follow through with. Props!

It's the whole military part of my brain man
    Detail oriented.

You can crawl in the mud for 2 months during an op and make your rifle just absolutely disgusting
But the second the heat is off and you have down time you are groomed mentally to immediately start cleaning and scrubbing to make sure it will continue to operate and have a long service life.

The way I treat my vehicles
    My clothes
    My bills
    It's the same way.
    Do what you gotta do
Get nasty and dirty and have fun
But you're only doing yourself a disservice if you aren't cleaning up after and checking for things to do maintenance or repairs on.

It's also why I sometimes go overboard on my build requirements.
Like doing 2.5 bumps instead of 2.0's
Or doing finned reservoirs instead of standard ones. Or using chrome moly for the bed cage.

    :)

Just gonna throw this out there..not sure if anyone cares but..the cadmium plating is only on the inside its what gives them the smooth surface for the orings to ride on. The outside likely has cladding to protect the aluminium (almost any aluminum you buy has some kind of cladding). That thin layer of cladding can be rubbed thru and then you start getting the dissimilar metal corrosion that can be seen on the outside bodies of your bumps.

The bodies are cad or zinc plated chromoly. Only the anodized parts are aluminum.

Everytime I put King bumpstops into the cans I put silver antisieze on bumpstops, helps anti rust and getting stuck, Ive had to use a 10 ton press to get some rusted stuck bumpstops out of cans before.

There was some condensation on my windows when I got out of work a half hour ago. Pretty bad stuff, shouldn't have driven the truck in such dangerous conditions

I'm good with this rain stuff. I think they do it right on Mars.

Oh yeah, what would be the best place to get a 90* fitting for my King coilovers? I need the hose to pretty much point straight up.

Sounds like I left the desert just before the storm. That wind was not pleasant though.

fyi - tricky thing with King's is that they are pipe thread so you can't just clock fittings in unlimited directions

I saw that on another forum. I guess I could just order some from them / DSM or modify a generic one to fit the way I want...?
