You need new ones with leather outside liner as the rubber alone can be compromised.

Currently at 0900hrs it is 42° , clear skies very windy and high temp of only 46° today

As mentioned the winds are very strong and have been since 2200hrs last night some of those gusts were 45 - 60mph

Even though the Wind Advisory expired at 0600hrs the winds are still strong with 16 - 20 mph sustained Gusting to 45mph

Just had the Tacoma’s alignment checked and everything was good except the Toe. All adjusted and it goes down the Road Beauteous.

Love how these new windows open up from the inside to get them cleaned correctly. Perfect overcast day for doing the windows. Will also be painting and caulking the inside frame work for her.

 

This is why I am in the process of looking for a new job...

I have a black rubber pair likely expired in the 90's. Or 80's

Once in a while think about the filling them with talcum powder and blow in them test like we were supposed to do in the Navy each time before putting them on. Then again I may not want to know. And don't use them as electrical gloves anymore. Hey I didn't get this old by being totally stupid. Although dumb luck obviously played a big role.

 

We tested ours before, after each use and weekly intervals. They got changed out once a year. Blow in them, stretch them , turn them inside out.
Two colors of rubber for a reason. If you stretch them, if one layer fails, you can see the other color.
Ours had a cotton inner liner, rubber glove and a leather outer glove.
There was even protocol when storing them, ie, palm up, palm down and order of stacking them.
Thank God, I never had a fail.
