I think you should look into it... im no expert but i did my research before doing mine... removing the 2nd overload should just drop the height the width of the leaf, 1/2"-3/4", with little to no effect on load rating... I actually removed the 3rd leaf because i wanted less lift and a softer ride and i gained 2" from how it sat with 165k on my stock leaf pack

Okay, yeah, will look into it...so my next question add a leaf vs shackle lift, which is better?

Fair enough... youre right of course, but the site is still useful when trying to weed through all the lift options... and he was asking about the pros and cons between AALs and Shackle lifts

Don’t know what your plans are for the truck, but my recommendation would be 881 if you’re planning on staying pretty light. 882 if you’re going to get heavy. By heavy I mean full armor and a winch. The 881 has been enough spring for me even with the bumper, skids, sliders. However, I believe I’m right on the brink. I think adding a winch would be too much for them.

***take all this with grain if salt, knowing that I lean toward less lift being better. I prefer happy cv boots over a super tall truck. If you prefer the latter, then I’d say 882 is right for you.

    Lots!
I'm going to put my 5100's and 883's together soon. I also have the OME Jeep JK 10mm trim packers like BoxRocket on hand. Can/should they be run with the 5100's? My search Fu is weak

Ok I have a V6 Prerunner Xtra cab which coil should I get? Plan on adding a bumper in the future front and rear and possibly a winch... Tried searching but can't find anybody with a Prerunner, I know it's lighter than the 4x4... Trying to order today

Edit** also I want the full 3" lift

Fuckin' rad. Great looking truck. Why'd you go with 880s vs 881s?

Thanks. I was originally going to go with 881’s but wheelers off-road advised I go with 880’s since I don’t have any additional weight up front. They said it would be pretty stiff up front.

Gotcha. Planning for weight in the future? I guess a nice ride now probably is worth swapping coils down the line

I’ll probably get an ARB bumper eventually but it’ll be a while. If it’s too much weight after that then I’ll just swap to 881’s.

Nice looking regular cab! Any idea on how much height you gained? What size tires?

Would I need a D43XL add a leaf, buying from headstrong and they come with Dakar already.. the most weight in the back might be a rear bumper in the future but that might be it

You might try without the add a leaf first and then go from there. I thought I needed it as well but wheelers off-road advised against it. I have a camper shell, wooden sleeping platform with slide out drawer and tools, and a steel plate bumper on the rear and I’m glad I didn’t get the AAL. Now my suspension is new and hasn’t settled but the AAL would’ve put me way too high in the rear. And I can barely make the rear suspension bounce jumping up and down on the bumper. Just my initial thoughts after installing my setup this weekend.

Thanks. Tires are 265/75/16. Really wanted 235/85/16 but found these cheap on Craigslist. Here are my measurements before and after install

Before: driver front 37” pass front: 36 7/8”
    driver rear 35 5/16” pass rear 35 1/2”

    After: driver front 39 1/4” pass front 39 1/4”
    driver rear 39 5/8” pass rear 39 7/8”

So looks like about 2.25” in the front and a little over 4” in the rear. But my stock suspension was completely shot. You can see that the rear sat 1.5” lower than the front initially.
