Initial estimate was $6500, the topper portion was a little more like a traditional tradesman style topper, however they’ve supposedly been working on a V2.0. It looks promising, but a lot of this stuff is whoever is first to market.

same. which sucks as its been a killer snow year up here.

 

Really been a mild winter on both sides of the mountain this year. Togowotee has a fair amount of snow on it, but other than the occasional skiff Dubois has stayed dry, barely six inches hanging around in Moran and the further you go towards Jackson the less snow there is.

 

total opposite up here. 120in base at cooke city. Have has some big snow dumps up here.

 

Just drove back from deadwood. They got 6-8 inches through the weekend so snow was nice. Denver still doesn't have shit.

 

id love to come ski some back country lines up there in the bear tooths, but the drive is soooo long and shitty with yellowstone closed

 

yeah no doubt. Not a simple drive for you. What happens when you live in an isolated mountain valley. I used to hate having to go to jackson in HS for sports stuff.

 

Took the SX to work today. Man its fun lil truck! I'm in love.

Also MT does lifetime registration here. Anything older than 11 years can do it. 80 bucks a year or 180 for the life of the truck. Pretty sweet. I didn't do it this time as I don't know how long ill be here yet. But pretty sweet.

 

They rape you on new cars and shot though if I recall. Don’t pay sales tax but property tax is huge

 

yes that is true. Think i read that a member on here pays like 400 a year for his new tacoma.

Yet again, another reason to buy used older tacomas

was cheap to register. My other two were around 110ish in wyo a year. Will see how much that costs though soon.

Also they have 224 speacilty plates you can get like..wtf? haha so many.

And 7 letter for custom plates..so need to figure out Frankenstein in 7 letters and get an Igor plate.

 

$180 for the life - holy crap, that's less than I pay per year and mine's at 18 years now. I think at something like 30 years, it qualifies for "collector plates" but those require an additional fee on top of normal registration. I even have to get smog tests bi-annually until it's 25 years old.

 

ha! Well that sucks..haha

i think in Wyo after 20 years you can do the classic car plates or something..not sure what that all entails..

But yeah, 180 bucks for life..seems worth it to me! Well..so long as i spend more than 2+ years here. Will have to see.
