Aye, Clarkson looks unhealthy and the other two just look bad .. James hair cut in the tent lol. I think Hammond is dying every hair on his head, along with his teeth.

The first season was all about just waiting for the BBC to sue them. They went so far out of the way, it hurt the show a little bit. However, you can easily laugh at it if you look at it in that light.

As the seasons go on, they will feel more and more comfortable to push those lines and feel more comfortable about what they do. The show was successful because it was based on the them being themselves, its hard to change that and be successful. Go back and watch the first few seasons go TG... they were awkward back then too.

They are getting older for sure, as are we. I am not sure how many more seasons they can keep this going before their health gets in the way. I am sure they only plan on a few more, go out on their terms, not some scandal.

I noticed in the most recent episode that Hammond's letting some gray sneak in along his temples, so maybe he'll mature enough to let the rest of it follow in the next few years. I mean, I'm 33 and I've got more grays showing in my beard than he does at 48

But, I'm also not on TV. :notsure:

Still by far the Jags episode is my favorite of the entire series. Every little thing about it was perfect, was rolling from beginning to end

I liked Clarkson's comment about Hammond's car giving 'good rearview mirror'

I've often thought that about various cars following me and he put it in words perfectly for me

I have to say that I really liked the "Jaaags" episode.
Funny to see that the only one to finish with the car he started with was Clarkson.
That and seeing Jags driving down ski slopes was pretty cool.

I'm 36 and full of it. With Hammond it has me distracted from what he always brought, honestly, I'm struggling with him a bit in TGT. He comes across as fake or scripted more than in TG to me.

I don’t know how I just now seen this thread: Top Gear was literally the only tv show I’ve watched in last 10 years. Now, it’s Grand Tour. There were three things I found fault with: first, “the American”- fuck that; second, killing celebrities- obviously retarded; third, “Conversation Street”- but it’s got better. The last three episodes have been watchable. I do miss the Stigg jokes

Conversation street has improved dramatically since they've basically turned it into 'the news'

Love conversation street and think Celebrity F off needs to go. There just isn't a need for them to have celebrities on. US Top Gear figured that out early and there show was dramatically improved because of it.

I'm still on the fence on Celebrity Faceoff; some of the guests/stories are really good (I really enjoyed the Kiefer Sutherland/Luke Evans interview) and some are just bad (like Paris Hilton)

Celebrity Face Off I cant take it or leave it. Some of the guest were cool the others I had no clue who they were. Conversation Street is getting a lot better I even chuckle at the silhouette screen gags every now and then. I have always liked the races like the TG New Zealand or the London to Milan, so I liked the NYC to Niagara Falls race episode. Jaaaaaagss was great just keep replacing them like no one notices gag was great. 2nd season way better then the first.

It would be nice if they occasionally did special episodes like the holy land or north pole specials with no cuts back to the tent for stuff like celebrity f off or conversation street. Other than that, I like the show overall. I'm glad they got rid of the American because that shit was painfully annoying to watch, I loved the stig but I don't need some gimmicky shit when it comes to racing the cars. Just have a good driver take it around for a lap.

The Patagonia was great for obvious reasons but my favorite was 5e Bolivia special I really wish they would do those still

Patagonia was a great one. The 2 episode africa special from last season was cool, I hope there's another one like it for this season.

The first season of TGT had the 2 part beach buggy special, Africa I believe. I'm assuming, and hoping, we get a special this season. That's where the three of them are at their best. Just three buddies hanging out and bullshitting... with a little "hold my beer."
