I cannot figure out how they could have possibly got some of this footage. And you know what they say about things that are too good to be true....

Im down to help out with you guys sometime on a given weekend. Once you do it, you will laugh at how much unwarranted stress it gave you. If we seal it, then you KNOW it will be legit.

I still am baffled that someone who actually markets and sells retros for other members could screw up the most basic part of the headlights...sealing them. Either you got a solid bead down before baking...or you don't.

Yea I am still fine tuning the exact measurement for the stock tire size to get it more accurate, but honestly for 33's I would just account that you are going 70 when your dash says 65 MPH. I think the official calculation is that your speed is 8% faster than what the dash actually reveals...so 1.08 x indicated speed.

Can you just give it a number to use as a correction factor, or can you only use tire size/gear ratio? The speedo is slow by 2-3 mph from the factory. The odo is accurate though.

They have it where you either input the original tire size and the new tire size with optional inputs if gearing was changed. I have found with the stock tire size to the new tire size it is still decently off. Best way to correct is to get the actual tire measurements, but with mine I have had to go beyond that and start to scale down the stock tire size further. I think I am getting it close to accurate though. But in essence, you are trying to get the speedo to read a certain threshold to be accurate and after it is programmed it should give the scaling factor input which is what I think you are trying to determine.

I am starting to think that the speed ratios of our trucks are based off the most basic package as since mine was a Baja it came with bfg ATs from the factory, but in a stock 2012 Tacoma it likely had smaller tires then what I had. I think this is why I am seeing a little bit of a disconnect in the actual values and also might be the reason behind the 2-3 mph change as it could be that our stock speedos are based off the bare minimum Tacoma package and even having decent stock size tires could throw it off a little bit. This is just a theoretical though.
