3D Printed Gas Cap Holder

Yes I know... First World Problems.
We all have our little pet peeves; for me, it was a dangling gas cap (ok, one of many!). Sure I can drape the plastic tether over the retainer clip, but I wanted the satisfaction of printing my own solution.

I also found out after I designed my holder that Honda makes an inexpensive one that works on our fuel door as well. Regardless, I'm supplying my file if anyone wants to print one up. It works perfectly. Enjoy.

I'd be curious if there is clearance to have the holder clipped on, and have the fuel door still shut.

 

It might fit on that lower horizontal support. If not, you could trim off the clips and use double sided trim tape.

I hears ya. I just really enjoy making things on the printer. I went from 6 to 12 when I printed it and it worked first try!

Didn’t think that was considered dangling since the clip is pinned and not going anywhere.

 

I love what you did. I really want one but dont have a 3d printer. Im also not giving toyota anymore money.
