Regularly? Not for me. It did leak after install though.

Less work just to go E85 IMO.

 

Problem I have with e85 is finding good quality e85, atleast in my area.

 

Yeah that's what has stopped me on previous cars. The huge hit in fuel economy doesn't make it any better either.

 

Exactly, I barely squeak out 300 miles on 91 octane I can only imagine what it would be with e85.

 

Alky/meth will bring inlet temps way down but you have to be able to tune for it. Since it is a combustible fuel any that you add will richen your mixture in open loop. Closed loop the ecu may compensate. If you tune for it you better be sure you have a rock solid injection system and don't let it run dry or you will run dangerously lean. It might work really well with the UCON since it is always in closed loop operation. I'm also not sure how tolerant the sc housing is to the methanol.

 

I disagree... I think getting a proper tune for e85 on our trucks is far from easy. Otherwise lots of people would be running it. Can the ovtune work with an ECA and control a 7th injector? @OVTune @Murphinator

 

What’s an eca? I know he said the stock ecu can only control 6 injectors, but if you had something to run the 7th injector then he could adjust the tune to accommodate it.

Ethanol content analyzer... It can tell the ecu what percentage is actually ethanol when going through the fuel line

You don't need a 7th injector if you have 6 properly sized injectors. And Matt did say he could do E85 tunes, I plan on getting one once it's available.

 

I wrapped some pvc tape around it under the clamp. I was only getting a very slight drip and it has stopped for now.
