    Jesus fuck.
I paid I believe 433 June 2017. If it went up 150 that's going to suck big time in a few months.

It was mid 400 when I bought it from the dealer. It's over 500 for this year.......

I believe the increase is being used to improve our roads. Hopefully that'll be true but it sucks because we can't see the effects now. Roads in the Bay Area are trash.

My insurance is also 200 dollars a month.

Gotta love California. You're overpaying for rent, if you're under 30 you're probably not going to afford a house, and the government loves your money. But the weather is nice.

Congratulations! I would like to move too but a lot depends on where my girlfriend goes to grad school. Yes, she's worth it. I just signed a contract for an investment property in North Carolina (where i'm originally from). I don't know if i'm going to move there soon but it's nice to know I have something there.

Are you guys telling me its costing in the hundreds for you to drive your cars in your states? As in registration for the tag? In FL its about $50 for a non specialty tag...

Used to live in Cali and it's expensive. Here in Oregon it's $80 for 2yrs and no inspections unless you live in a major city like Portland. Cost doesn't seem to make a difference. My 98 ranger is same as Tacoma.

FYI guys in CA all trucks are considered "commercial vehicles" so you're registering a commercial truck, that also adds to the cost and why a $35k Tacoma is more expensive to register than a $35k 4Runner.

On the plus side ANY pickup truck can legally use commercial loading zones :)

    Yes.
Not sure yet. Will be moving in with my friend and his wife in their 4bedroom house for a few months while I look. They live in the "nicer" part of Gastonia. I'll probably try and stay near the charlotte area most likely. Or possibly even SC maybe rock hill or other places near the border of NC

Yep. In CO they give you registration stickers to put on your license plate. You pay a fee each year to get the next year's tags. I paid $450 last year for mine. I think it was almost $700 when I first bought my truck. It goes down every year, but yeah it's still a lot.

Yes. Our Tacoma is classified as a light commercial vehicle or something like that. Don't forget the smog inspection every few years, it's about $50 dollars. My old coworker had to leave his modded wrx in New York because it emitted too much smog here haha.

Don't forget high gas prices and higher insurance. The bay area has the worst drivers I have ever seen and I have been to China lol.
