We also pay 7.9% tax on food at the grocery store...

 

Same tax as us on just about everthing.

How much is a 5 bedroom 3 bath 2 Story House with an acre around it out there go for?

 

Commercial Motor Vehicle is defined by the US DOT as a property carrying vehicle with a GVWR of 10,001 lbs. or more.

In the People’s Republic of California it’s any truck lol.

California is one of the most beautiful places I’ve visited but you couldn’t pay me enough to live there, pun intended.

 

Over $900 here in VA we pay twice a yr Nov was $490 and May will be $490....

 

Don’t know how it works in other stated but because it’s a truck, California assumes you’re going to load your bed and worsen the roads... so they get registered as commercial vehicles.

 

The house is going to go for $200-300K and the land could be about another $50K.

I paid $110K for an 800sqft home in 2012. Went to see my cousin on Coronado Island and a house my size is a couple million. Crazy.

 

So in this personal tax you would pay for the land which would be property taxes here and you also paid for the house ? which they don't really tax anything for that here.

 

Yup, $1,000 under invoice because I bought it from a dealer out of state in Oklahoma where those boys are all about thier American lol. It was also one of 3 in the USA last month Cement/Black leather but should’ve mention 4x2 whereas here in Cali they were all 4x4 with useless accessories added that made the starting point for negotiation at $44-$45K...starting point for my car was $39K because all it had extra was mud guards and tonneau cover...which I did not mind at all. Paid $800 for the transport and still came out to a deal...

A lot of people don’t realize deals to be had from shopping out of state. Just intimidated people for some reason due to logistics but dealer handled all the paperwork back and forth and sent it to a 3rd party notary to come to my home for signing and collecting down. Paperwork was sent and returned by the 3rd party. Turns out this particular dealer ships out about 2 a day out of state so nothing new for them even though first time for me.

I tried to source a TRD sport locally but good luck trying to find Cement with both tech and premium packages. Limited has it all and I’m not into off-roading. Cheaper to just buy the after market parts to make it aesthetically similar to sport or PRO minus the hood(scoop)...which is another $500+. But I dechromed and it’s now pretty much the same minus the TRD stickers on the back.

 

So you get taxed on the assessed value of the property. Home, land, any other structures or out buildings on the property. It sucks because you get taxed on what the county says what it's worth... not the bank.

Then you get taxed by the state on any vehicles you have. If it has to be tagged and registered, you get taxed on it.

 

Oklahoma has great deals on cars.

Yeah Kansas is Tornado Alley. We also have pretty severe thunderstorms. Every year we have at least one massive hail storm. No discounts but the state does allow for 100% mortgage financing as an incentive to build/buy in rural areas.

 

I'm honestly not sure how you people on the coasts survive with all those expenses.
