Some of you guys still don't get it do you. It's not always about horsepower. It's not always about money. Sometimes it's just about what someone wants, no matter what logic they use to justify it.

I just took off wheels and tires that had 3K on them and simply replaced them with new ones. Not logical at all. So what. Life is too short.

This what I have and the truck runs great

I’ve had two 3.5 and prefer the little 2.7

It doesn’t have as much power but I’ll be honest it runs a whole lot better

Also the ranger is only going to come with a 2.3 eco boost which is known to over heat and warp the head....

Lots of problems with this motor

I’ll keep my taco cause it’s not fast but it’s simple and will last 500k Miles

LOL you have no clue. The 2.7L motor is a proven reliable set up. Fleet sales alone could float Toyota SR sales forever. And who the fuck wants a base Chevy?

Some people want simple, reliable as cheap as they can get it. I can understand that.

Oh, dealers make more money off more options.... they'd rather just sell a bunch of Pros instead of SRs.

    $5000 is what a 20% price increase?

Really, if I weren't going to tow something, I'd look real close at a SR 4banger. Simple, easy, reliable, it just works.

Why do you care so much that it exists? There will always be a market for base model trucks, fleet sales and people who just want something straightforward and relatively cheap. If you think they’re stupid trucks, simply don’t purchase one.

Also the base Tacoma is light years nicer inside than the base Colorado. Plus Colorado MT is only 4x2, and despite having more power drives pretty much the same as the MT taco.

    Because it's an abomination

Who knew that this post would ruffle the roids of so many SR folks. It makes me wonder how many SR owners beat their wives last night after reading this post while looking for the Preparation H.
