    So I just purchased my Tacoma and I noticed the rear driver fender flare adhesive is coming off. Anyone else experiencing this issue?

    Just experienced this myself except on the front drivers side. I took it back to the dealer and they replaced the whole thing. Kinda upsetting knowing this happened on my truck and it's only 2 months old...

    The fender flair is held on by clips there are three foam strips with adhesive on them that help keep the flair from rubbing the fender. The foam strip is what your seeing clips could be giving out or heat is causing the gap to widen in some manner. I would check clips and fender well to see if anything has caused it to come loose.

    Make friends with somebody at an independent body shop or auto body supply shop, they often know what adhesives hold up the best.

    Here is your “adhesive” foam strips and the three part numbers for just the drivers flair.

    So press in the fender flare from the side, you have to firmly push it, don't be scared to press hard. The clip isnt seated all the way in. The adhesive isnt what really holds it in place.

    Yes these 3 adhesive foam strips are the 3 needed for just the drivers front flair. They are split up into three sections a small, med and Large. The clips though are what do all the holding the strips just buffer between the flair and fender.

    My fourth red Tacoma
    Anyone know what the strongest double sided tape is? Brand and specific product number?

    When I went to take the Gopro mount off of my cracked windshield it was held on by some absurdly strong black double sided tape. I'd like to by a roll of that specific tape.

    This is not an adhesive problem. I had the same thing happen. The pop fastener is not fully connected to the body. Push on the flare in that area, it will take some force. You will know when you get it because it will pop pretty loud, then lay perfectly flat.

    I bought my truck on 8-18-18 and have only put 6400 miles on it so far...my drivers front flare was doin this and I was like WTF?!??!
    Read this thread lastnight and fixed it today!!!! Just pushed on the flare, heard the snap/click and FIXED!!!
