Vet Centers of America. They’ve been around for a while. Basically, they’ve streamlined vet care and use size for efficiencies. They also use software to sell- you go in for shots, they propose shots and all sorts of other stuff you may or may not need. Practices are measured by upsells.

If you know that, and you understand, it’s easier. Their vets are usually recently graduated or owners of the practice who’ve sold out.

My vet is pretty good and the quality of care generally good. Just frustrating lately.

Think of it as going to an auto dealership for car repair but with more sophistication. Even the paperwork is the same.

Baloo sits on Buffy every chance he gets. Not sure what that's about but she is a little saint for putting up with him. He constantly follows her around biting at her face and ears. She mostly puts up with it but when she has had enough she will jump on top of him. She still outweighs him by 10 lbs but that won't last long.

We spent at least an hour out there, and I quit on her (I was cold!). Pups are the best, but I gotta work on my stamina for her sake.

Get a tennis racquet . Makes it easier and no dirty hands from the slobbery ball :D

Or one of those tennisball flingers, they work great. with a tennis racquet you still have to pick up the slimy ball and flip it into the air to smack it. with the balll flinger, you just pick up the ball right off the ground with the flinger, and fling away. and they really can lob a tennis ball darn far.

No, you don't.... flip it onto the racquet, bounce it, smack it!!!! Did it for years and never had to touch the slimey balls - was throwing for 2 ball nuts pups.

Holy chit, I've done a lot already!!
That is the "I'm cold, can I go in the house now" look. When we had the test done, we didn't really care for her. She put on a good show for the adoption, but became a BITCH after. Looking back it is funny, but it was a rough 6 months after. She's "4" now, and has gone through quite a few phases. She lunged at car headlights for a few weeks once. A little scary walking her during the dark. She destroys sticks, but mostly spits them out. And during the warmer months, despite our efforts, dirt, rabbit shit and deer turds are part of her diet. She came to us at 1 year, so only she knows what she went through. As I said before, wouldn't trade her, or the experience for anything.

Not sure if it is an option in your area but over the years I have found the best vets, by far, are ones that were or are Large Animal Vets. Sometimes they do it on the side of their main business. Others get tired of wrestling with cows and horses then later in life start their own business. I drive 45 min. to see mine and in that time could see more than a dozen pet vets. But he and the vet techs are worth every minute of the drive. And is much cheaper than the city vets in town. Of which the VCA affiliates are the most expensive, and not necessarily the best here at least IMO.

Don't think I ever posted the picture of where my avatar came from. He has been gone for a while now and still miss him. When he was a pup I was loading on the reloading bench and he kept getting under foot. Picked him up and put him in an old empty 12 lb. keg of Red Dot gunpowder. Sat still of all of a couple of seconds but managed to get a picture.

A lot of great memories with him over the years

Yeah, I have a little "chuck-it" flinger-mabob. No slimy dog ball to hand action. That and my old self just doesn't throw far any more. :sadviolin:

Racquet Balls are way better to throw than tennis balls. You can even hit racquet balls with wedges. I’d hit wedges off the top of the house for my Labs. Hilarious fun with a golf club and my Labs. No soaked tennis balls for me.
