Should I get a skid for fuel tank or am I fine with just the 3 main skids??

You’ll be fine with the main 3 for the majority of the trails.

The stock gas tank is surprisingly resilient. Ask @Redmann

You’ll be fine until you’re not...

last trip I bent my fuel tank skid pretty good for the first time. I did a lot of wheeling before that, but it is a plastic tank. We WERE running blacks though.

I’d say, if you can afford it, buy it. If you do buy one, get one that bolts to the frame up front and not just to the fuel tank straps. Pelfreybilt makes a nice one. I have an RCI, but am going to get a Pelfreybilt soon.

I won’t run any aluminum skids, period.

The fuel tank skids are not heavy like the others. The difference will be less drastic than the other skids.

Opinions vary of course. That’s mine.

This is just a tree stump that my skid free gas tank was resting on top of. No biggie.

Hahaha yeah pretty much. Dude, I got stuck like 4 times in that 200 feet of that trail. But haven't since so I guess I'm learning.

Also that leaf spring was in heavy negative arch. Better replace it ASAP. :)

Don't forget I tried to go around that after you, and ended up going over it too.

Yeah you went OVER it. My axle tried going through it. It was definitely a slippery day. I think my ass end actually slid sideways into it while I was going forward.
