OP - is your goal exactly 2" of lift? Or do you potentially want more than that?

2" max. I have no reason to go bigger.

Not sure what your intented use is, but if you're staying at around 2", maybe new UCAs can wait? For your $1800 budget, maybe an adjustable coilover like the ICON or KING would work out best considering you were concerned about ending up with less than 2"... Recently, I did Kings in the front, Bilstein 5160s for the rear, and a Wheelers 3-Leaf AAL to net ~2" all around for roughly the amount of your projected budget. No shame in mixing brands for me. I finally ordered some new UCAs but I haven't installed them yet because my current set-up is working out fine. I just think adjustable coilovers allow you more versatility in case you decide to add some other goodies to your rig.

If your budget is definitely limited, the OME kit from Headstrong is a solid choice. Spent last weekend installing the OME Nitrochargers w/888s and a full Dakar pack on my buddy's rig and it turned out awesome. Like idiots, we failed to measure ride height before install, but I think it's a safe assumption that he netted 2 or more inches all around.

I agree with not needing the UCAs. The dealer said they suggested them due to the larger diameter of the 6112s. I've seen Tacomas rocking out 6112s without the UCAs, so yeah I can save some chedder doing that. The ICON kits are nice and if it weren't for needing to be rebuilt and the wait times, I would jump on them. The OME kits are simple and have been known to be great systems and are very affordable. The Bilsteins are probably better by design as @oscolivar1 explained. I plan on doing slower trips through areas and I will not baja around like other folks. I will have gear on my truck and choose to go slower over terrain. I probably talk to Headstrong tomorrow.

Read post 1055 on my 6112 review. I wanted to cheap out on UCA, but that was a mistake. Otherwise buy a lifetime firestone alignment and go there at least every month.

Good luck on your choice of suspension. I will agree it's a damn headache picking a setup.

Just wanted to add my 6112 gave me 2.5 inch lift after settling and I have 285s on. Also I love the ride with the 6112/5160 even the fiance doesn't mind the ride and prefers to drive around in my truck over her fit

Yeah I noticed that too. I think they got a little too popular for them to keep up. Not saying it’s a bad thing. They’re obviously doing something right.

I found this kit on Rogue
    https://www.rogue-offroad.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=KSS2T140-Tac-16&CartID=2
Was thinking Mini pack for the rear due to the weight. I hear it gives 1.5" of lift. AAL does 2inches. @oscolivar1 What do you think about this one? I know it says 6112 and 5100 but that must be a typo. everything else in the description says 5160... They also have this kit for 400$ more, but I can get something else with the 400 if so...

Thank you guys for your recommendations.

Yeah we did take the phone number down since we found ourselves spending anywhere from 45-90 minutes on the phone with every caller so it is hard to get to all of the calls that come in since there are only so many hours in a day and we are a small company. We find that e-mail's and PM's are easier since we can multi-task and answer before/after hours if need be. Plus they do tend to be easier in general so people can go over the information as many times as need be.
