They don't salt the roads down there, do they?

That looks like the '95-'00 Limited fabric? I think you'll have a hard time finding an exact match. I doubt Toyota has manufactured that fabric for the last 20 years.

Nope. Gotta learn to drive on ice and snow.

Lay down some gravel here and there and they plow.

Yeah not a fan of the hot and humid!

I'll freely admit that winter here can be too long. 5 months or more in the valleys and usually 8-10 months in the mountains but still awesome

They do mix salt in with the gravel. It's just not very much and they only put the mix down on main roads

We can get the “extremes” on both sides here.

100°+ in the summer (I know that’s not too bad for some of you) and down to -30° in the winter (inversion will get ya), and we like to salt the roads.

I like the colder months better because you can put as many clothes on as you want when’s it’s cold but you can only take so many off before people start asking questions when it’s hot.

They use mag chloride on the interstate, highways, and main roads in the bigger cities.

It's a lot slower acting than rock salt as far as corrosion and buildup. You could go all winter long without a car wash and as long as you get the underside washed in the spring the frame will be fine.

What killed it for me was that not only did I need $15-20k to finish the truck the way I wanted to, but I'd need another $20k for a tow rig and trailer. At this point, I've figured I'd keep the damn thing and get to it when I can, but entertain offers if they came up. I just need to put it out of mind for now so I can focus on finishing school.
