Heck no, but the last time i got pulled over the va state police officer did bring it up. He was the same cop that wrote me a book of tickets

 

But no ticket right? I figured most cops would be cool with as long as I wasn't doing anything stupid.

 

Is there any special care requirements for dip? Do you need to avoid pressure washing or anything?

I saw a 1st gen today going to work that had been painted cement grey. I couldn't get a pic since I was driving, but it looked even better than 3rd gens.

Thanks buddy! $2500 for mine but the price is going to vary depending on where you go, kind of vinyl used, design complexity, install techniques, etc.

I’ve wondered about this myself.

 

I've got plastidip on my grill and bedliner on my rear bumper and sliders. I use a pressure washer on both but I just don't get right up on it when using the highest pressure. Both are holding up fine after a few years.

 

You offroad much? I've been tempted by vinyl, because I'm tired of seeing my paint get destroyed by pinstripes. But I'm guessing I'd be repairing the vinyl too. =/

 

Lol not as much as I would like. I got some nasty pinstripes the last time I went out though. The vinyl would get marked too, but it should at least protect the paint unless it was some seriously bad bush.
