    Hey Everyone:

I'm going to be swapping my DCSB Tacoma with a 5 speed gear box, and I am trying to make sure I have all my ducks in a row before proceeding. My truck was equipped with a push button 4wd shifter from the factory and although I wouldn't mind going to a J shifter, for now I think I will stick with my current transfer case.

However, I have noticed there is a difference between the 4wd shifter angle on an auto trans truck and a manual. See image below. I am hoping I can either heat and bend my current shifter so that it is in the proper location or purchase the correct shifter from the dealer or used and install. I was thinking that I could maybe get a VIN of someone with an manual trans and push button shifter and find the correct part from the dealer that way. But any information or first hand experience on the matter is appreciated!

I would think you will be ok as it only moves forward and back. I think if it was a J pattern sitting to the left like that it would interfere with the shifter when in 4 low.

I swapped my DC with a manual a little over a year ago. Worth it, I have a J shift though so I can't say for sure if you will be ok

Same T-case. Take apart and flip, cut, or swap the shifter.
