I was blaming it on that. I was simply saying that it was possible. They go for months without doing that even in rain and now all of a sudden they do and you want a refund. Just a little weird to me man. I’m offering to cover shipping to me and fix them for free. You can trust in them because I have never had a set do this for the 5+ years I’ve been doing this

I am puzzeled by your response. I have helped seal a few headlights myself and have a few buddies who do retros on the side for a business as well. IMO, there isn't much of an excuse here unless either you didn't have a solid seal to begin with and/or using substandard sealing material. I got no problem helping out boogie partially because I want to see what the hell is in these retros that you did for him.

When I was first adjusting my lights I didn't even seal them for a little bit and I couldn't even get mine to fog as bad as these over the course of a couple months. Considering boogie has a youtube page that is growing in popularity, it is rather nice of him to keep this incident as low key as he has or maybe Im just not as nice as him.

As far as Boogie's mentality here, I think it is totally warranted and I would be pissed if I paid what he did and got these fogged ass lights. Furthermore, you have not even made his taillights and wont even consider a refund on that...why? Its not like you have wasted material/shipping for them yet, considering your current rep with this northern va community...I guess you got nothing else to lose right?

Who knew that a guy that has been spamming this thread for the past year or so to buy his retros would have an issue with his product. I will make sure to remind folks that you don't allow refunds so they wont find out the hard way...

I use morimoto retrorubber. I am offering to fix the seal problem and redo it for him. I’m literally taking care of him but he don’t want to send them so don’t know what more I can do

And I told them that all the tailights would be built at the end of the group but. I’ve already opened his up and buy parts he wanted for them

Considering meeting his request to refund his taillights could be a good start? So the butyl rubber liner that comes with the morimoto retrofit kits right?

So I am thinking about getting a bed cap. Thoughts? I was trying to see about putting a bedrack ontop of my tonneau cover but looks like it is gonna be more problematic and expensive then just going bed cap.

Yes sir that’s what I always use. There won’t be issue with the tailights and I can easily resolve his headlight issue so he can start enjoying them again

I took the kids to see peter rabbit last weekend. Was actually pretty funny. I figured it would be stupid. If you havent seen jumanji, i thought that one was great. And that ruby roundhouse, yeah she could dance fight with me any time.

Im sure you probably keep some level of inventory for the lights as you do this somewhat professionally...why not store those for another project or look into refunding the parts if possible? Its not like Boogie had a sudden buyers remorse here, but a lack of confidence in product. But hey, this is your business.

    That's all I got.

Whats your solution, removing the butyl rubber and clearout the lens channels and apply the same material or is there a "better sealant" for situations such as these?
