Coot I know we have had some back and forths but I have a tremendous amount of respect for you. This is a great post and a rational view. I will do everything I can to help boogie. I messaged him and told him that I will reseal them for him free of charge and if there is true condensation when he gets them back without any damage done to them that I would refund him. He will love the tails when they are done as well

I hear what you are saying and might consider sending them back to get resealed if the money for the taillights was refunded.

I know we have had our differences, but I do appreciate you willing to honor your workmanship on this and I am confident things can smooth out in the long run. I am relieved to hear that you are motivated to make things right and I look forward to the end results.

Well, what if LSC were to delay the delivery on your tails based off the concluding experience of your headlights? If the rework on your headlights are not sufficient, then maybe he can agree to refund the tails as well?

Im not trying to speak for anyone here, but I think a second attempt will be able to give some credibility for your views in either direction based on the outcome. At the end of the day though, you are the customer and only you can make that call.

In most scenarios, I would chalk it up to a freak accident and not ask anyone else to pay for it. The one exception in this hypothetical scenario would be if there was a gross negligence for safety in the recovery process i.e. terrible methods used that caused the failure, and I warned them about it beforehand. Then maybe I'd consider going after them to pay for it, depending on damage.

It's tricky because my driver side fogged up right after getting it back in November and I was able to take care of that, but then 3 months later BOTH headlights got a ton of moisture in them at the same time out of nowhere.

I agree with you and would like the opportunity to mane it right. If they are fixed he will love and enjoy them as well as tails

That’s what I’m not understanding and why I would like to see them. Something could have been damaged during install or not installed properly. We just don’t know and that’s why I would like to get them back and investigate them and reseal them

I got ya man and it is a weird situation although each headlight is built independently so you cant assume the problem with one directly caused the other although I know that's obvious. That said, LSC is offering a warranty process to make it right...at this point I think the situation has been transcribed pretty clearly.

If you choose to disregard LSC's offer, then you would have to commit to handling it on your own. I can help if that is the route that seems the most beneficial, but I still vote for LSC's continued involvement in the headlights so that perspectives might be rectified for both parties.

I think now might be the time to sit down and consider what you want to do and then just make the call. Either way, you got support depending on what you want to do.
