It took me a little while to get used to it. I tore them off with the intent after getting a bumper to cut them along with the fenders to match the body lines but... I'm liking the look without them more and more lol. Might fill the holes with the shaved down clip mod thing but for now I'll run it

 

Is this steel? do they even offer the hybrid one in aluminum? also do you know how much it weighs approximately?

The one I ordered is steel, I think the one in the TX Classifieds is also.

Billy does work with aluminum, not sure about the weight difference.

Yeah I bet the steel ones aren't even that heavy, definitely a major upgrade from stock though. I'm probably going to go with either a center hoop aluminum bumper, or a hybrid steel one whenever I finally get one for my red truck. That's definitely a long ways off though. I've figured out the hard way that you definitely want to save as much weight as possible

I was going to let the rain clean my truck but I just opened the hood and found this.........

 

haha I added all kinds of weight to my green truck, and now its even more of a dog than it was before. I'm assuming it wouldn't be as bad with a v6.. but the added weight really makes the 4cylinder work. I basically don't use 5th gear now unless I'm going down hill and over 75mph.. so my gas mileage shit the bed too.. about 15-16 since I have to turn more revs to keep her moving

I'm too scared to look under there. I'm running with no skids and it's all kinds of opened up underneath the front of the motor I peeked under there when I halfassed washed my truck and I can only imagine what it looks like. After bastrop this upcoming weekend she'll get a thorough wash engine bay and all

 

Yessir, it's manageable with the 5spd though.. I couldn't imagine what it'd be like with an auto.. probably undrivable

 

I've got dreams of a supercharger. But thats waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay out
