Nice of them to give a deal, but they also raised the price of the tires I was looking at by $100. So while I was waiting for this sale to possibly get them cheaper, I'd end up paying $25 more now.

what is this about? ko for $999.99 each?

 

hoping to order some falken wildpeaks.. but they went up.. used to be much cheaper...

Same here. The size I was looking at went up $13 per tire from the weekend to Monday. Rubber is a traded commodity so prices will fluctuate, but historically this company has consistently had price increases during and prior to a sale. But its business so I guess it is what it is. After the rebates I still came out saving some money so I still bought a set.

I actually inquired about the price increases right at the kick off of the sale, and this is the response I recieved verbatim:
"We apologize for the price changes. We have a marketing team that checks pricing on a daily basis, so there are times they make changes depending on our costs or market conditions."

 

I tried to get a price match, since they usually are cheaper than others. Really hate the idea of waiting on a sale, only to see the prices go up on that day.

 

Gotcha. Thought maybe it was a mistake and it was supposed be $99 each I was like.. sold!!
