Have you changed out the fuel filter and cleaned the MAF?

Haven't even thought about changing the fuel filter - we drove it just fine two other times no issue. I'll check the MAF

Idk where they are on the 2.7 but it was a 5 minute job on my 3.4. Right under the driver's side door.

Also, check underneath the dash for a security system. When I first got my truck, it had a dealer installed security system with a disabler. I had no idea what sequence of buttons I needed to push to get the thing to start so I just pulled the tiny computer and haven't had an issue since.

It's really odd how many gearing ratios are available in these trucks. I've got 3.91 :annoyed:

I'm trying to fix my new 450k 5VZ truck I just got - thank god my other truck is perfectly fine.

There's a whole Clusterfuck of wires under the dash I'll cut all the splices out.

Actually, now I'm not getting that light anymore. Now nothing happens when you touch the wire with the test light.

Do you have a good ground wire going from the battery to the chassis? My truck had a flimsy 16 gauge wire that was literally 3 inches long....replaced it with a 4 gauge...
Bad grounds can lead to a plethora of problems.

I just pulled the EFI fuse and its burnt. Makes sense that the fuel injection system isn't work. Let me put a new fuse in.

There's something in this truck making my fuses keep shorting.

I did it on my own truck - this one has some dinky ground wire but it is getting ground.

    The Crapmobile is ALIVE!

Turns out the EFI fuse was burned too. Makes sense - no fuel to the engine would cause it to well, not start.

Now if only I knew how to move it...

I've got so many gremlins because of LEDs, it's kind of ridiculous. For the past 6 months, if I was driving on the highway with my headlights on and cruise control on and I used my right turn signal, my cruise would cancel. Apparently even with all of the resisters I put in place, there was enough power going from the right turn signal and running lights to the 3rd brake light that it would light up and cancel my cruise control.

Fixed that with some regular bulbs, now my dash lights up when I hit the brakes :frusty: and my right turn signal sometimes turns on when my headlights are on. It doesn't blink, just turns on.

I'm going to murder these damn gremlins.

Surprising how much stuff counts on resistance and lack of backfeed huh? Was a pain in the ass to make led headlights work too

For sure. I've replaced 27 bulbs with LEDs and I've got 4 resisters on the tail lights alone. They just look so pretty. How are you liking the LED headlights? How's the throw?
