Hey. I’m awaiting on my trd pro MT Tacoma to be built and I’m looking to buy this tune shortly after. I happen to live in HB and I’m an IT consultant (computer tech). I could help you if you still need someone to do it for you. I watched the instructions and they look easy to me. I’m familiarized with the process because I tuned my vw golf r the same way. I’ll provide the laptop for the process of course.

I will welcome you to the M/T tuned club ahead of time then

If you're up for it, there are definitely some guys over in the OVtune M/T thread who could use your expertise when it comes time for their first flash!! Good to see a team player on here too.

Got my kit today. Trying to start the first step. Went to the instruction page and it gives a series of four links of drivers to install.

The first one says what's shown below. I have no idea if I'm using a "non-EcuFlash software" and if I need to install it or not? Without the drivers, the dongle does not show up on Windows, but I just want to make sure I install the right drivers.

    Download Drivers + J2534 DLL
If you experience any issues in downloading the files on this page, please use a browser other than Internet Explorer.

This is an Openport 2.0 driver and J2534 DLL-only install for users who only intend to use non-EcuFlash software with their Openport 2.0. This install also contains a few J2534 coding examples for developers in C. If you plan to use EcuFlash, do not download these files - go to the EcuFlash download page instead, as the driver and J2534 DLL installation are built into the EcuFlash install.

you only need the drivers. (that page). ECUFlash is an editor software for subaru and it comes with the drivers packaged.

I think I was able to successfully email the required info to orangevirus101@gmail.com, so hopefully I just wait from here. I pretty much installed everything at the links they gave. I think everything is working so far.

Turns out you can skip *some* of the steps that are in their website documentation. The video doesn't give the complete picture and there's some steps you don't have to do in the documents. The video starts with the drivers all already installed. Once that's done the video is basically right. Plug in the dongle (looks like a logitech USB wireless transmitter). This is the thing that tricked me. Open PCMFlash. Most things in it will be blank though, unlike in the video. It will show "Ford" but greyed out. That's all fine. Just email the USB serial number to them. Some of those extra emailing steps in the document you apparently you don't need to do now.

Only with the rev2 black dongle though.
However, all of my instructions will be renewed when the flash manager is out with 1.03, and we will be looking at going back to pre-registered dongles which skips all registration completely

What are the steps for the people who ordered within the last week? Will there be updated instructions or shall we follow the steps online or via that video?

Great question. I’m not sure what dongle I’m receiving or what version I’ll be able to load. I also don’t know if I’ll be able to use the download manager or have to follow the email process. All I know is that my tracking number shows that’s it’s awaiting UPS pick up.
    Whatever the case may be:
    1. I’m stoked!!!.
    2. I trust Mat and @OVTune
    3. I’m patient.
    4. I’m out of $$$
Did I mention that I am stoked?

My tracking also shows awaiting UPS pickup. I echo your 1-4 points above :)

I have anxiety about missing the shipment when I’m out of town for the weekend. I had it shipped to my weekday address. My luck will have it show up on Friday after I’ve left town for the weekend. First world problems...

It does sound like this video is very helpful and seems to be the best approach thus far. This is what I will be using (plus the written documents) as my guide.

I boot camped my mac and got windows installed and updated. I also downloaded all the drivers and files from @OVTune website so I will be able to hit the ground running.

Looks like you need to hire some more people to help the demand. Never heard back from you

Not to be impatient (let's just call it excited) but does anyone else that did this process have any estimates for how many days it took to receive their PCMFlash key and then once they submitted their ecu information to get the actual tunes? Seems like it takes a bit of time to get these things out. I'm guessing demand is a big part of it too though.
