    My URD Y pipe arrives tomorrow. Planning to install over the weekend.

    Some of the people in the exhaust reroute thread are also looking at the y pipe but for different reasons. This is the first person who has the y pipe on the way and I look forward to his write up.

    The URD Y pipe is made of true heavy gauge 304 grade stainless steel, all mandrel bent, and hand tig welded.

    It is very similar to the Y pipe we have been making for the 4.0L Tacoma, 4Runners, and FJs.

    The Y pipe has much improved routing for better ground clearance and flow.

    The Y pipe does eliminate the two rear cats. It will not set a check engine light because the rear cats are not monitored.

    There are ports to reinstall the stock rear O2 sensors and an extra O2 port for you easily install your aftermarket wideband gauge kit.

    It will bolt up to the stock manifolds, URD Power Extractor Pipes (coming soon), the URD Cat-Back, or stock cat-back exhaust.

    Not road legal because it removes the rear cats.

    The production version has not been dyno tested yet. The prototype dyno test showed the gains very similar to the 4.0L version with no loss in low end. Few more projects in the works and we have to get the engine back in the truck.

    If it bolts up to the stock exhaust just fine, I would assume it bolts up to the TRD Pro catback exhaust just fine as well.

    Are the power extractor pipes the next section closest to manifold from y pipe? I know there's no "headers", Doug Thorley is releasing what they call down pipes or down tubes. Is that the same as your to be released power extractor pipe?

    Any more info on this URD Y-pipe upgrade for the 3rd gen? Will it work with a lifted truck with a differential drop? Also has anyone mated it with the aFE power mid side exit exhaust and their CAI?
