Just want to say this thing is awesome! Got to me in a day or two, perfect fit and finish. I bought some rust oleum satin black primer/paint and sprayed it yesterday. Couldn't be happier. Highly recommend this bracket!

Question, could a Y mount be created so that you only had 1 bar coming up from underneath the bumper instead of 2? It would still be low profile, painted ( as suggested ) would blend in even more, and with the padding behind one of the images I saw would still protect the bumper plastic. I'm intrigued by this idea and might pursue it down the road.

While there are multiple bolts under the bumper area, including one that is dead center in the middle of the bumper, that bolt does not go into a backing piece of metal so it does not provide much strength. The two bolts that my design uses are both backed by a metal piece that sits behind the bumper cover, offering a VERY secure place to mount the bracket. I don't think a "Y" design would offer the stability to keep the bracket in place since a single bolt holding the bracket would allow it to pivot right and/or left. The current design ends up being a box with all four corners held together so it is very strong and will allow zero movement once it is mounted. Also, once the bracket is mounted with the plate on it does not show unless you duck down to look at it. Many customers have color matched the bracket to their bumper cover, increasing the amount the bracket blends into the existing bumper, making it almost invisible.

Of course, my answer makes sense only if I am understanding clearly what you are suggesting, which I may not be understanding. Have a drawing?

Nope, you understood it perfectly. Probably too expensive to machine a single piece to do the same thing. Unless you used a horizontal brace behind the plate to utilize the manufacturer holes from the original plate? But the pivot left/right thing could be interesting if it was intentional to make it "wave." I can see the conversation now...

    Me: Problem officer?
PD: You're front plate is moving. That's why I pulled you over.
Me: CA code doesn't say that it can't be moving. It just has to be mounted on the front, which it is.
    PD: Uh huh.

Me: Hi you're honor, I'd like to contest the ticket for my front lic plate please.
