Officer Bryan Durman of the Lexington, KY Police Dept. was killed in the line of duty last night. He was pronounced dead at 22:46. Officer Durman was 27 years old. He served his country in the Air Force as Shore Patrol, then decided to ETS and serve his community on the police department in 2007. He is survived by his wife and son.

At 22:00 he responded to a loud noise complaint coming from a vehicle. While he was investigating the vehicle a maroon chevy tahoe hit Bryan from behind throwing him against the edge of the car door he was investigating, then dragging him 20 yards. The person that killed him was arrested after a struggle with the SWAT team. The suspect has a long history of violent crimes and mental unstability.

Bryan was one of my friends in high school and in church. He was a God fearing man, and was more than happy to do what he could to help out his fellow man. Please keep his family in your prayers. they will have a long road ahead of them. Thanks.

Dont mean to thread jack but at least its for another fallen officer. A Sevier County, Utah Sheriff Srgnt. was killed yesterday night around 22:30 after investigating a vehicle accident on a bridge. A Suburban heading westbound crashed into the wreck and investigators still do not know if the officer jumped out of the way or was hit during the accident and thrown off the bridge. He fell 250 feet until he hit the ground below where he suffered fatal injuries. He was only 36 and left behind a wife and 5 children. R.I.P. brother.

The ironic thing is that Bryan had a twin sister and they both were raised by his Grandmother. The guy that killed him also had a twin sister and they both were raised by their grandmother as well.

Thank you all for your prayers.

    Prayers sent.

I know I have my issues with police (usually when they give me a ticket), but I still respect the hell out of the job they have to do. From chances of being shot to run over or god knows what else, I try not to make things any harder when I do have to deal with them. Hell I even park my truck at an angle so he's got some protection from the rear, had a couple State Troopers thank me for that.
