Yes, there's a damper on the fan housing and the outside vent (spring loaded) and the opening is covered with 1/4" hardware cloth to prevent critters from entering.

This that and the other thing.
 just making sure haha I see too many customers put intake terminations on dryer vents and bathroom fans which doesn't stop cold air from infiltrating while the appliance isn't exhausting

You ain't kidding! In our apartment, when they were new, when the wind would blow you could feel it in the bathrooms, and the fans would whistle once in a while. But the birds quickly built nests in the vents and put an end to that! Then they weren't good for anything except noise cover when you were taking a dump (newly wed then so I still cared) Now I leave the bathroom door open sometimes and it pissed my wife off!

This is exactly why I have loud pipes. I've had many close calls, and I know there are plenty more to come. But this sh!t pisses me off to no end. She should have her license revoked.

You, sir, are very lucky, then. My VTX was my daily driver in the Bay Area in CA...believe me, there was no shortage of close calls with idiot drivers!

My wife's one rule to me: no sport bikes. She knows than my deeply rooted love for all things 2-wheeled and my perpetual lead foot are never a winning combo on a speed-restricted highway, and I have to agree with her. Hence why I own a muscle cruiser. I'm also glad that @EatSleepTacos's story had a safe ending and a lesson learned.

Morning all. Today is my Friday, and then I have 6 days off! My favorite part of this schedule. Have a full break with cam tabs, B110s, brake lines, and two HC rear bumper installs. Plus I'll be camping and exploring this weekend and it may snow.

    Edit: AND MONSTER TRUCKS!!!
