Thought I'd share this. Nothing special, but this was after filling up and driving from Fort Collins to Grand Lake over a couple mountain passes (one is about 60 miles of uphill), across a 12 mile section of dirt and snow where I used 4wd, it was really windy with a lot of head and cross winds and temps ranged from about 60F at the start to 30F (still too warm for CO) on top Cameron pass. Not too bad given the range of conditions, more uphill than down, wind, etc.

This is when I switched from driving in D getting 17.5-18.5 mpg to and from work to driving with the truck in S mode shifting myself. 93 Gas and averaging around 70-75 mph highway speeds going to try with 87 to see if there is a difference next tank then ECT and S with 93 and 87. Will report back with findings...

Not sure but the mountain passes are winding with slowing down and speeding up a lot. Still manged 45 or so on most of that, a couple sections were flatter and open (north park if you know the area) and 65 mph for a bit. given it was 3 hours with only a few short stops that puts my average right about or just under 50 mph. I have noticed it gets better mileage at slower speeds, but given all the other variables on this trip I thought it was decent. I get closer to 26 mpg on the return trip due to the very long down hill section.

Oh, also drove the 60 mile uphill in S mode - mostly 4th with some down shifts on the steeper parts near the top.

From what i gather after my drives 60-65mph gets you around 20-21 mpg a spot above that at 70-75mph you get around 19. If it's stop and go (Around town) I tend do get 15-16 mpg.

That is the most accurate range I've seen so far

Purchased my truck 2 weeks ago. Currently has 700 miles on it. 22mile 1 way commute, with the temps in the teens. Getting between 19-21. I think it’ll get better when it’s broken in.

For me here in Wisconsin I get about 17 no matter what. It was 20-21 when I got it in summer.

NOW..... in winter I do a lot of idling , warming the truck up , sitting and idling , AND the biggest hit for us here is winter blended fuel which is an automatic 3-5mpg drop. I’ll see when summer blend and warmer temps come around if it jumps back up. BUT by that time I’ll have bigger tires so that shoots that therory all to hell.

I don’t think 20mpg is bad for winter gas, 27• outside, and 1000miles on the odometer.

With the cold winter weather I've been getting around 17 mpg. In the spring, summer, and fall, I usually get around 23-22.....highway that is.

My mileage has been pretty bad. Not a TRD but still a dc sb 4x4 sr5 auto. I suppose the winter gas around here and my short commute to work factor in here. 650 miles on the odo

Are you flooring it at every corner and straight and going 80mph on the highway? 12 mpg is funky unless you drive a crap ton in city

How do you get the past records? Do you have to manually update each time? Mine seems to only show the current mpg.
