Bought my truck in June, 2014. It came with the satellite radio preview, but it didn't turn off for over 3 and a half years. I was starting to think I might have free satellite radio for life, but looks like I finally lost it tonight. Anyone else have their satellite radio preview last longer than it was supposed to?

I bought mine used 10 months ago and it is still on whatever plan the previous owner had signed the truck up for. Probably has a multiple device plan and hasent noticed.

I bought my truck new, so it wasn't on a plan when I bought it.

I had a 2013 Accord and the xm radio lasted till I traded it in for the truck in 2015. Xm on the truck lasted 90 days (lame)

Bought a used Avalon, and got it free for a year and a half. But as Jim Stafford once sang " all good things got to come to an end....."

Just bought my truck on Friday, CPO with 9K miles. XM is active, I am following the golden rule, leave it alone until it turns off, then put it on my plan!

When you let it run out and they keep sending email or calling, keep saying NO and the price goes down to $5./mo.

Sat radio only lasted 90 days for me. Never bothered to renew since it wouldn't receive a signal every time I went under an overpass. Where I live there's am over pass every 1-2 miles so never saw the benefit to renew. Every other vehicle I had with xm this didn't happen unless you go in a tunnel...I guess the Tacoma receiver isn't as good?

After constant calls almost daily once my trial ran up, I finally got pissy with their sales people.

If you can't provide a service that doesn't cut out under highway overpasses or heavily treed areas, then it's not an upgrade over FM. Stop calling me and asking, remove me from all your call lists, and the next time I get a call from you go ahead and have your manager ready.

    Haven't had a call in 2 years.

I bought a certified toyota and I got a 90 day free trial automatically. A few weeks later I started getting the emails from XM/Sirius about renewing. What I thought was an oversight turned out to be a "hey man, the first one is free!" I think the audio quality is lacking and it is just too expensive for this cheapskate. If it was $5 a month all the time, I would probably buy it. But if I have to call and talk to a human and threaten to cancel every 6 months to get it for $5 a month, fuggetaboutit.

I might be on a free trial. But I am finding the performance of the factory antenna quite bad. I was driving around today, and it was going in and out a lot. If this continues, I think I will just let it cancel and not renew it.
We have it in my wifes car, a 2016 Honda Fit. We had it put in, and the install shop put the antenna inside the rear roof top spoiler, you can't see it, and it has never gone out, not one time.

Can't tell you how much this pissed me off. I got a 15 minute commute to work, all under 45 mph, most under 35. One day I counted 8 drops, and I only went under 2 train trestles. Some suggested to talk to yota service about it, but haven't remembered when I have took it in.

My free trail ran out in December while they $5 a month promo going , if there is no promo in December I'm out . Not worth much more for as little as I spend in the truck.
