    Not a Ford thing, but seems much more common on full sized trucks to see oversized flares and stock tires. I think it's an old man thing.

    It actually was easier to live through the 'off season' when we moved to the new house; At the old house I'd see the bike every time I went downstairs and I'd want to go for a ride. At the new house it spent the winter under cover in the back corner of the garage, so I didn't see it as often :laugh:

    You see it more on the full-sized half ton American trucks because they've usually got 3-4 different tire sizes varying between 17-20" wheels that are optional from the factory. They set the truck up at the factory to be able to take the largest possible size without any modification, so when people opt for a lower trim level the wheels/tires don't fill out the wheel wells that were designed for the size that comes with the top-of-the line trim package.

    My bike spent the winter in the dining room. Useless room anyway.

    Some cars don't have spares these days? What in the fuck? I'm sorry but no way in hell I am buying or even driving a car without a spare.

    Lots of them don't. Even some trucks are coming out of the factory with weird space-savers slung underneath.

    No most of the new cars don't. When we were buying my wifes new Camry it was funny to hear the salesman say "and it comes with a full size doughnut spare".

    I was like :rofl::rofl::rofl:

    Do you have a link for such a thing? This could be a lifesaver if I could find a way to get the panel out of the car and into the sun

    I know having the battery off the car for awhile can do things to the car. Nothing crazy just the computer forgetting everything, right?

    Trust me my goal is now to figure out her lug pattern and the size spare she needs so I can search CL. What pissed me off the most is the tub for the spare is there they just didn't put a spare in.

    Not on a 1969 :laugh:

    On a newer car I'd probably just leave the battery in place and hook up a maintainer.

    The new BMW's all come with Runflats, too.

    @Noelie84 Have you heard about a new General Grabber A/TX tire? Any pictures. I can't find anything on a quick online search
