3rd Gen Tint Prices?

$150 to do 20% (ceramic) on the two front windows. They wanted $120 to do it "legally", which wouldn't have come close to matching the rears.

 

Has anyone done the brow? My quote said they would have to take off the go pro mount on the brow.

 

$75 bucks for front door windows, 20%

 

Jeeze that's a little extreme. When i was stationed in Camp Lejeune in NC the MP's were the exact same way. Montana no one cares what you do

 

I paid $80 for front two, also in VA. I think they had 3 levels and I got the middle. I found prices up to about $120 for front 2 if I remember correctly.

 

I think as long as i get a lifetime warranty I should be alright

 

it's been nuts here lately. I've used the SAME guy and the SAME tint on 9 different trucks since
2000, have been through traffic stops, both cousins are cops, one is a Trooper and never have
I had anyone look twice at it - you can see into the cab and clearly see everything in the console
so it's not "dark" by a long shot. He actually called it "dangerously dark" and said he needed to
follow me all the way to my office, just to be safe so I could avoid further tickets. I laughed a bit
and said exactly what I said above to him, he said, I still need to follow you. The bitch of it is even
removing it doesn't wipe the ticket.... you still have to pay even if you show them proof it's gone.

 

Crazy! In Lejeune they would rip the tint and ticket you. A bunch of cops probably just got trained on the tint reader and probably testing it out...

 

I don't think i could deal with it not matching. The OCD in me would ultimately prevail...

I got lucky and made my dealer include front tint in the deal, but I've paid $200'ish for all past cars for 5 windows.

 

I should have introduced that into my deal, I wasn't even thinking about it. I was too damn excited to get behind the wheel.

Most places quote me $80 for 2 windows lifetime warranty. Dealer is wanting $169 for 2 windows granted I don't know what tint they use.

Here in PA i just paid to get the entire truck done(double cab) in 5% and it was $225.

Yeah I made my dealer mount/balance/align my new wheels/tires and tint the front windows, in addition to matching my low price from another dealer, in order to earn my business.

 

Just did my 2018 and paid $80.00 with scorpion tint,alot better than 3m.I had my last 3 trucks done with it and had no bubbles or scratches,don't listen to these guys saying you need 300.00 tint jobs.

 

Just checked your page and saw your Tacoma, Great job on it! The wheels/tires look great! I heard the LED might yellow the headlights, not sure if that's true or not

 

Got 3m done on the front windows to 35% (MA legal limit) for $250

 

Damn you should post a pic when you get a chance. Tried to see if you posted one elsewhere but couldn't find it. 5% is crazy dark
