A lot of that has to do with the amount of rain Hawaii gets and flooding. Took a Marine Science class in high school and did test for several beaches on Kauai. I learned quickly where not to swim/surf and when. Honestly Hawaii focuses way too much on the tourist industry which is important but not so much on the day to day resident.

Reckon ignoring infrastructure is going to have a detrimental effect on tourism soon enough with that issue growing at the rate it is.

It's not a new problem, that class I took was in 03-04. So the rate at which it's getting worse is a weird variable. I didn't want to say unknown because I'm sure someone smarter than me on the issue has a better idea. Everyone thinks Hawaii and associates paradise but growing up and seeing the changes/problems over the last 30 years of my life I know different. I honestly won't move back for several reasons. Job availability and affordable housing being the top. The house I bought here, lot/house size would cost me at least 4-5 times more in Hawaii. My parents home which is about 1,300 sqft on about a 10,000 sqft lot cost them $500k in 06. Your everyday Joe is working to survive out there.

Not a steal by any means but if one of the 3rd gen people is looking for a bumper, imo I wouldn’t pay that amount. Brand new shows 1450 with powder

But how much is shipping? I imagine the seller is trying to recoup a portion of that as well. Still, if I was in the market I'd offer less.

Yea without shipping that's not bad. Can always haggle. If anyone actually wants it I'll be in Chicago at least once a week for the next month.

But hey if you take the big truck up there it would be super easy to camp out of it. Also you bought it outright with the insurance settlement right? Who wants a loan.

While my Sami never got that treatment, it really was an awesome little machine. Loved that thing.

My uncle still has a pretty nice one back home in Hawaii. Stock and clean, but he won't take it out on the sand cause it has no balls even though it's light as shit.

@MO Tacoma & @ChandlerDOOM you guys still talking about wraps? Are you guys looking at 3M for color skews or another brand?

I got samples from Avery and 3M. Are you thinking about wrapping? The color that I wanted to go with is from Avery.

Yea been thinking about it and making my plans for this year for the truck. I’ll need new tires soon so cutting, 1” body lift to fit bigger tires. Gears, lockers if I can pull the money. I have a feeling my clutch will go out so plans may get rearranged. Weren’t you gonna go matte white for the wrap?

Speaking of cutting, next weekend when we have our Mod Day, in addition to lifting my suspension, would someone be willing in guiding me into doing the CMC. Going to be getting tires soon and want to make sure everything is in order.
