AAL vs Block insight

Ok so I have searched the threads and read a lot about both:

The blocks are bad for serious offroading and can be bad for the leaf pack over time. But are easy to install.

My main worry is that with an AAL I have heard that the pack will squeak like all hell if you just throw in another leaf. What is up wit this? any AAL guys have insight on this issue? I talked to a shop and they said they could manufacture a new leaf to fit the pack like it was stock but wanted 700 bucks to do both packs.

Right now I am running a 1 inch block with 3inches up front and the truck sits perfectly level but I wouldnt mind adding some more height to the rear.

an AAL is almost as easy as a block, but rides better (as you know). if you get the toytec AAL, it has antofriction pads, like what you have on your factory springs, and keeps it from squeaking.

 

^yah hes right, ive got the toytec aal on mine and ive never heard a squeek of any kind from my leaf pack

 

x2 I have the Wheeler's Offroad 1.5" aal with friction pads in addition to TSB leaves. No squeaks at all. Never once heard them. I was also worried it was going to be too stiff to flex but it's not. I can stuff the tires no problem.

 

right on thanks for the info. Leaf gave about 2" of lift?

 

my 1.5 in started out at 2 in of lift, but has settled to about 1.5 now. whether it keeps settleing or not, i have no odea.

 

I know how much lift I have up front (2.75") but I forgot to measure the lift in back. With the TSB + a 1.5" wheeler's leaf I am sitting right on the border of front/rear level and slightly rear high (factory rake).
