My first new vehicle was a '95 single cab 2WD blue S-10. 4.3 V6 had way too much power for that truck. Despite the horrific S-10 reputation, I put >70k miles on that truck, and the only issue was a faulty fuel pump replaced under warranty. Never saw a tow truck, never let me down. I miss that truck.

Traded in for a used F-150, which was a piece of shit. Then a 4runner, then a Sequioa family truckster. Then eventually the current '13 Tacoma. Despite the fond memories of the S-10, would take the Taco every day of the week and twice on Sunday.

This is a "no-frills" S-10 regular cab short-box 4x4 with the Tahoe Value Package. It has the 4.3L V6 mated to a 5-speed manual transmission, and presumably an open rear differential. Based on the front fascia, this truck is identifiable as a 1991-1992 model (I am 99% sure it is a 1992)...

In terms of options, this truck has the Tahoe Value Package, which includes the aluminum wheels and rear slider seen in the photos, as well as an AM/FM cassette and a few other options not offered on the base model. This truck does have factory air-conditioning, but based on its rough condition, I highly doubt it was working at the time these pictures were taken. It has no other options (tilt/int. wipers, cruise, power windows, power locks, etc). The color is (or was; again look how faded and beat up it is) Midnight Black...

This red S-10 is identifiable as a 1993 model by the 8-slot chrome grille. 1991-1992 base models had this grille in black plastic, but Tahoe models had a different grille design (as seen on the black truck above)

For First Gen S-10 fans, this one is the cream of the crop!

It is a FULLY LOADED regular cab long bed 4x4 with the 4.3L V6/auto. It has A/C, cruise, tilt/int. wipers, power windows, power locks, and it has Delco AM/FM CD player (CD player became an option in 1992 or 1993 but was not available in 1991; I believe this truck to be a 1991, which means the CD player is from a newer GM product)...

Wow some of these take me back! My buddy had a 93 S10 Stick

I had an 85 S10 4x4 Blazer with the 2.8L and Tahoe package. I loved it, but man was it slow. 0-60 in about a year.

Back then, I once got a ticket for "exhibition of speed" and my Dad wanted to fight it. He didn't think it was capable of exhibiting speed.

    Dead I assume.

It was given to me by my Uncle as my first car. He had been using on his ranch in East Texas.

I ended up giving it back to him in 02 or somewhere around that.... Apparently it was ok for me to drive, but my little brother needed something "safe" and with "airbags"

He kept it for while and the drove it to Colorado to use in the mountains. He sold in Ouray. We actually still saw it up there parked maybe 5 years ago, but no sightings in the last few years.

In Texas, I'm hoping the A/C worked good!
