That has to be the most understated posting of the day I have seen. Damn right Susan!!

Good luck Martin I know exactly what you are saying. And hope that if you do apply that you get it. The position I am currently in the Unit Head had me write the position opening for the posting based on my resume. And HR sent me a letter saying I wasn't qualified LOL. He stormed into their office and told them what happened (and he got in trouble for it) and they sent me another letter. For my interview we went to lunch and talked fishing. Hopefully I will never have to write another one again. But when I do look at it nice to remind myself of all that I have accomplished over the years. Best of luck to you!

That's awful! Ironically, the wavier hearing is going on here this week. Downtown is a madhouse and it's all over the news, and all the memories of the horror have resurfaced. Last night after baby girl went to sleep, I went by to check on her on my way to bed as I always do. But last night, I had to stop and just look at her for a while and thank God that she was kept safe that day.

All that to say, it is really so sad that those parents don't get to do that tonight, and those kids were robbed of their future.

It's basically a chronological representation of your education, work and qualifications history. Your work history starts where you are now and works backward as far back as you want to go. Education starts at the beginning and goes as far as you made it. Qualifications you pick up as you go, but usually only list the ones that are current. It can be a pain in the ass, but I keep a basic resume to work from. It can be hard sometimes to fill in dates when you forget what you did.

Think they would believe me starting at 14?
Dude that’s a lot of writing for me.
Kinda like tooting your own horn..
I’ve been lucky. The service managers all said my reputation preceded me. So it was like 2 min and a hand shake.

You only have to go back so far. Some want to see 7 or 10 years unless you want to show something specific, then you show that as relevant work in your education. Between the 3 main areas (ed, work, quals) ed and quals I pick and choose to show what I want. Work, don't leave any time gaps, but choose words that highlight what you want to stand out and not so much the overall position. So, if I were going for a supervisory position, under my Platoon Sergeant description (from prior service) I'd highlight the number of people I supervised. But if I were going for a support position (again, using Platoon Sergeant description) I'd highlight planning, scheduling and any coordination with other agencies/units/ entities....same job, different aspect.

I didn't know they put one up there. I grew up in Ukiah so I regularly travelled that state more times than I care to count. I can remember going through all the towns between Fresno and Sacramento because Hwy 99 didn't bypass them.
