Can anyone in az help me this weekend?

IF YOU KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT MOTORCYCLES. PLEASE HELP.


I just bought a very used motorcycle. And it started and i drove it but i think the carbs needed to be adjusted because it only drove with very little throttle. Whenever i would try to give more throttle it wouldnt want to move.

So i took them off and cleaned them, but now i cant get it started again? I dont know it i put something back on wrong or what? But im getting frustrated. I really could use some help. Id be willing to pay some money also if someone helped me get it running pretty decent. Let me know. I want to get this running asap!!!

ok thanks. Its really making me upset haha. My first bike, i dont really know anything about carburetors either.

 

Yea my first guess is you're not getting fuel (fail to prime, clogged line, something) or you've flooded the hell out of it. Probably need to tune the a/f mixture(s) as well a bit.

 

yes yes yes. Good Advice!! Heres the deal I now got it to run. But runs like shit. If i give it throttle it tries to cut out. To much air??? How do i adjust the air/fuel. Im pretty sure thats the problem.

Responded to PM... though I forgot about the priming bit.

Only do this when it's dry (like off for a minimum of 30min or so or just after a rebuild). On my old bike there was a little push pump that would squirt fuel into the chamber. Should be something similar... if not you can probably do it by giving a few twists to the handle before attempting to start. But if you got it to run... it's gotta be the a/f or fuel delivery. Check filter clogging too if you haven't (if there aren't filters, get some they're a cheap and wise investment )
