I did some LED lights off Amazon. If you search my username and key word LED you will find my posts with pictures and a link to the lights. I think I sent around $60 for everything.

 

Found the post and the price is right... can they be hardwired? My ceiling is all finished drywall and I was hoping to not have wires showing.

 

I was in your boat like a month ago. I was sold on adding 4ft led fixtures but came across these and decided to try them for $30. They put out some serious light. 2400 lumens per bulb. Shadows are a problem though, 8ft T12's in my old garage were way better for that. I have before and after pictures I'll find and post.

Anyone have any experience with the Graco X5 airless paint sprayer?

This weekend I will be ready to prime my walls, but am curious if I should use the sprayer, or if I should roll the primer. I'd really like to spray as it is much much faster and I have a lot of walls to do. I'm just worried the primer may be to thin to get even coating.

Thoughts?

Thanks, but if I have to run the wiring and install the basic fixtures to install the bulbs, I might as well just go for a LED or fluorescent strip. If I already had a few fixtures I'd highly consider it, but my one dinky bulb fixture on the far right side of the garage won't put out enough light for my workshop area on the far left, regardless of how bright the bulb is.

and then I put LED Daylight 60w in them. I'm positive you could land an airplane in my garage.

 

I Like the bright lit garage. I love to work in the garage doing anything and everything. I think it’s a must have

 

I have (2) 4' LED light fixtures in my basement shop. They were costly upfront... but are extremely bright and can be hardwired or plugged in.

Now I'm going to buy 3 of those and 12 more bulbs... Damnit. I wont be able to see anymore but at least I wont have any more shadows.

 

That was exactly what I did in my 3 car. 10' ceilings with 3 of these fixtures with all daylight 60w bulbs. I can see everything now haha. I just bought the cheap LED light packs from Home Depot. I think I'm like $60 into my garage lighting

 

Finished with these, felt more like polishing then sanding.

Cracks filled with epoxy?

 

Dont waste your time and money with flourescents anymore. You can usually find LED 2"bulb" equivalent to T8 for around $20. Much brighter and I think around .5 amp. What I did for my shop was wire plugs/outlets and plugged the lights into the outlets.

I'm happy to say I am about 99% done with this bathroom. Hanging the mirror tonight and will be glad to have it complete! Thanks to everyone for their answers to my dumb questions.

 

Nice, i have some large logs we turned into seats around our firepit. I think i'm going to do this with them. Keep the water from sitting and rotting them out.
