Think about it! I’ll let you know before I post in the marketplace because I don’t see them lasting long there

You should just replace your whole suspension, then sell it to @Justanotherhemi for $100 bucks. That's a good idea, right?

That’s basically what I did with @Kemosabe! These rear shocks are the only part he didn’t get

Right now swapping in the B110. One side went great, but the other side I had trouble getting the 5100 off. I rounded out the hex key on top that keeps the shaft from spinning. I had to take an angle grinder and create a flat spot at the verrrry top 1/2” of the shaft. Shouldn’t create any problems for the future buyer since most people won’t be hitting full compression like that. Sucks because it’ll make it a harder sell.

I tried that, with them as tight as I could possibly get them. Just spun

that usually happens. The tops need a 5 or 6mm wrench before you try the vice grips. You might need to cut them off now

This is what I had to do. Just two little flatish spots all the way at the top. I don’t foresee it causing any issues. If you’re compressed that much, you’re probably at risk of bottoming out.

I see nothing wrong with this... and don't think it will affect the strenght of the shock either. Good to sell!

I agree! Realistically I could not tell them and they would never know, but that’s not how I roll.

Better tell the truth than get negative feedback all over the forum! if the buyers is not comfortable buying the shocks with that mark then someone else will get them!
I am sure @Justanotherhemi will take them like this tho!
