When? Where? I’ve done countless hours of research and have never found a single set of tundra/2ndgen Tacoma caliper conversion brackets. I’m looking at all option right now so this is a breakthrough on my end if you know where to get those brackets.

Sorry lads not trying to keep secrets, just a bit busy yesterday. I contacted the guy who made these, but he is currently deployed so it'll be a bit before he's back in action. If there is some solid interest (and there seems to be) I can try to find a metal fab place local and turn out copies of mine to sell at a reasonable price. The only qualm I have about that is the possibility of taking on a lot of liability if a weld is bad and one of y'all experience a catastrophic brake failure. That doesn't sound like a fun time.

@omgwtfbbq! If you can get a quote, I'd definitely be interested with the understanding that you are not responsible for any issues. A good fab shop / machine shop would probably be able to make them out of 1 piece instead of having to worry about welds. Do you have some additional pictures you can provide? My buddy owns a fab shop out here, about 20 min outside of Chicago and he may be able to make them out of 1 piece.

They could definitely be made from one piece but I think it'd be a lot more expensive to do so.

@omgwtfbbq! Never mind. I see now. It shouldn't be much of a safety issue though. If you make the whole plate out of one piece, then instead of welding cylinders to the end, you weld spacers on either side. This way the bolt still goes through the one solid piece, and should one of the welds break, it would still be held in place and would essentially be sandwiching the spacers.

well, like I said @omgwtfbbq! my buddy down here owns and operates a machine shop, complete with a water jet and tig welding services. I used to work there and stand behind the work 100000%. He goes above and beyond and has never had a disappointed customer. We also utilize a local powder coating company that he's good friends with. If you're interested, i could put you in contact with him. Water jetting these pieces out would be super fast and cost effective.

Is that “ok to go” with him, because I’ve thought about the same thing with what I have but I don’t want to piss off the OG who made them in the first place. If he’s ok with it, and you can get a price, I’ll be interested in buying, even if it’s a DIY kit, I can weld well. And yes making it from one piece would be pretty expensive but it depends on where you go and what it’s made with.
