I had no trouble hanging the gas cap on the clip on my old 2nd Gen's.

Yeah I run a locking cap, so no tether. A cap caddy will be good to have.

 

Gotcha, I was just gonna ask if you still had the tether, that holder would work well for you.

 

@mesojdm need this with at least 1 (or 4) LED light(s) for those late night gas runs... (add a switch - only turns on when the gas cover opens) I know it's not a necessity BUT just for the MESO custom look cool factor, I'm in

 

Could be powered off of watch or key fob batteries so we don't blow up our trucks.

 

Neat idea OP!! However, I use the little "toggle" that keeps fuel door shut as my holder. This work perfect

On one hand, this is true. On the other hand many of us have upgraded our
gas caps to locking gas caps and no longer have the tether. Those are the ones that could get some use out of this product.

I can see that. Why do you use a locking gas cap when the Tacoma uses an anti-siphon design? If they want your gas, they are gonna cut it out from below.

You should remove bottom 2 names and replace with updates ones. I like the glory hole or black hole and would change my vote.
