I’ve been trying not to be “that guy” and call the shop I ordered from to get a status after he told me a couple weeks ago when I ordered that it’d be around the end of Feb.

Yessir...a Hobie Compass to replace the FeelFree Lure I sold a few months back.

I’ve got a pile of accessories for it in the garage and I can only organize tackle so many different times. :pout:

A solid season under your belt and you’ll want to peddle. Too many times guys were fishing circles around me (peddling) while I was trying to make adjustments with the paddle.

    No more...muhahahaha!

You've got the infrastructure in place (website, store, etc), go for it! Would love to see what you've got. I've looked at molds for jigs and stuff before. If I had a bigger work area, I'd probably get into it.

...not that I need anymore tackle than what I've got :anonymous:

I prefer the light weight long sleeve fishing SPF quick dry shirts. But I do like the logo.

Wish I still lived in Bluffton, I'd definitely join you guys. Some very good fishing in this area. I lived there for a couple years and fished at least every other weekend between Hunting Island and Hilton Head. For the dates you've posted, you should try the Broad River bridge for the annual cobia run. There is a ledge just downstream of the bridge where you'll likely find a line of boats anchored up fishing. Live lining eels is the most productive method. Be aware if fishing from a kayak, which I always did, the currents can be swift. I also enjoyed sight fishing for redfish in the flats, and there are tons of speckled trout in the area if you know where to look.

And if you want to catch sharks, the mouth of the Harbor River near Hunting Island is the hot spot. I caught many as a by-catch of looking for big bull reds, most I could not slow down since I was geared down. The few times I actually fished for sharks I landed many over 6'. Again, the current during tide shifts in this area is especially swift so be careful.

Seems you already have a charter booked, but Bay Street Outfitters in downtown Beaufort is top tier in my opinion. They only do inshore trips to my knowledge, but if you're planning to all fish from kayaks I'd go out with them on the first day, then you can follow-up the next few days using the same techniques and spots you went the day before. I only went out with them once for a tails/rails trips, which involved both hunting and fishing, and it was one of the best charters I've ever taken.

I don’t do patches unless they’re free or very close to it and more tackle is what I don’t need...but I’d buy.

    :spending:

    Agreed!

Too bad we didn’t hook up when you were still down here. Let me know if you come back down to fish.

Bay Street Outfitters is good for sure for inshore...and an honest local retailer that doesn’t try to upsell you. I bought my fly fishing rig there with aspirations to learn how to fly fish...been a couple years and everything is still brand new.
