Not sure on the install process, mine was on the truck when I bought it. I've heard the hard part is mounting the actual bumper to the brackets. A second set of hands is needed especially if you mount a winch in there.

That's what's stopping me from a rear swing out. I can drop $2k, or I can wait 2-3 months - I can't really drop $2k AND then wait 2-3 months

They gave me 10-12 week lead over email but ya I hear ya. Will just have to wait. The bummer part is I get a nice bonus at work and have to wait so long for my present to myself! lol

I just got word from C4 Fab that my HC bumper and Swingout is set to ship out tomorrow. The quoted 8 weeks for manufacturing and it looks like it will be delivered within that time period. Having said that C4 stuff is expensive.... I'm gonna miss the kidney I sold to get a bumper and sliders.

I got my sliders for 350$ shipped from trail-gear and they shipped that next day! Samewith rear bumper. I even ordered two sets of sliders! One for my truck and one for a buddies lol granted shipping ended up going freight and took 2 weeks.. but still... those prices are insane.

Also there is a guy in Shoreline that has a little shop in his garage. McLeanMetalworks. Went through a whole custom front bumper design and talk through. 2-3 week lead time. 1300$ I just couldn’t afford it at the time. Was going to be a twin tube DOM hybrid with winch mount, cutting front lower crossmember and integrated skid plate...

:rofl:That is really optimistic. As the rest are saying, great product but took me 6 months with an original lead time of 12-14 weeks. I know they were trying to hire some extra help though so hopefully that has happened. Start saving for all the shit ya gotta out on/in the bumpers lol.

Not sure yet. We were going to go to St Thomas, but now that the Caribbean is RF’d for a while, we might go to Mexico for a few years. Going next month to check out Malpais Costa Rica. ( Home scouting /surf vacation) until we decide we will probably use our place near Houston as a home base. Not gonna happen for at least a year tho....

If a Sequoia would tow decent weight without becoming a wallowy mush sofa, I’d think about it, but....
Also needs to fit my golf clubs without dropping the rear seats. #priorities.

Thinking San Carlos/Guymas/Hermosillo areas. My ex lives in SC and loves it. Lots of expats there, and prices still ok.

I just looked at San Carlos and yep, pretty sweet. I've been up and down the Baja a few times but never ventured in the main parts of Mexico. It will be moving up the priority list of places to go.
