Speaking of, my brother in law's dog, Hennessy, was diagnosed with brain cancer yesterday. A lot of you guys have probably met him at one of my mod days. Some prayers and good vibes would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Keez chewed up anything that smelled like me as a puppy (think 150$ ski goggles, danner boots, aaaargh!!) but that ended after he turned 2. He's 12 in April and my best friend.

This is our Jake. Most loyal and protective dog I’ve ever had. When our youngest was born Jake would not leave his side. I honestly think he believes that’s his child AFF69E30-C2B0-4FDF-84DC-C7B610549143.jpg

And still watches over him when he naps.

And a fantastic bird dog. DAF3B01A-432E-4FD4-AEC9-6DA74C7E96FD.jpgHe’s gonna be really tough to say goodbye to when that day comes.

Man I wish we could have a dog, feel like my kids are missing out. But the MIL is more important and her allergies wouldn't allow her 10 feet from our house. Only dog in my family now is a poor excuse for a chihuahua mix my brother has.

Haven't met my MIL. The woman is a saint and makes our lives SO much easier/better. I feel like I hit the jackpot with her and because of her we are set for life (not that we want that day to come).

    Still want a dog though.

    1. Lots of dog pics, no titty pics. SITREP: UNSAT

    2.

My brothers. Ben is 2.5 now. We still have surprise sleep regressions. Lately he's been getting up an hour earlier than usual. Totally fucks my slow wake up coffee, TW shiposting routine. And I have to reverse his routine to come read books in my bathroom while I shower and dress, then go do him. At least he can use complete sentences and carry his own books now. But this whole last week he woke up about 2 or 3 in the morning calling mommy. Going down quickly, but sleep interruption is sleep interruption.

One of my mom's employees had to take some time off a month or so ago due to her sister and her niece being attacked by a couple neighbor pit bulls in their yard. Apparently the niece was hanging out the front porch reading or something and the pits came into the yard and tore her apart. Her mom tried to come out and save her and was attacked to. Niece died at the scene and mom survived. I'm definitely torn on how I feel about pit bulls after hearing all of these different stories and such. Beautiful dogs though...

It’s not the breed. It’s the owner. I hate hearing these stories. I feel for the victims.

Before pibbles were the ire of social stigmas it was the Rottweiler. Before that it was the Doberman, and before that it was Ze German Shepard... people are the problem. I used to be CARDA certified. I’ve trained quite a few dogs. Dogs respond and react based on learned behaviors from their people. Doesn’t matter the breed. Chihuahuas can be mean motherfuckers but they have small mouths...

agree and also disagree, theres a reason its the majority of attacks.

I personally dont trust certain breeds at all, pits being one of them.

Pit bull is the most incorrectly identified breed there is.
