Interesting idea. I'd be curious to see who has done this and how it affected the ride.

Whats your middle of hub to fender, front and back. Curious if your back is higher than mine too. Back 1" taller too on 3rd gens?

I'm not anywhere near my truck atm but I'm pretty sure the 3rd gen is an 1inch above the 2nd gen all around.

I don't think it will. I am not a Toyota engineer nor am I a suspension guru, however unless the TRD PRO is totally different and the only thing that is the same is the frame (highly unlikely) then parts should work together. The UCA and drivetrain I would think are the same part number. If somebody knew or could verify that then it should work no problems. I remember hearing that Toyota released TRD PRO stuff (suspension, air box, exhaust) and everything else to pretty much be able to build your own TRD PRO with something like a TRD off road. So that to me just means that a lot of the parts are the exact same thing, just the price tag is way different.

The TRD Pro from Toyota didn't have that stuff, and the coilovers come adjusted already for the Taco Lean.

After looking at the before and after pics of the baja-1b spacer installed it looks like the spacer is performing the equivalent function the c-clip performs on the 6112. But since there are no additional grooves for the c-clip to move toytec simply inserts the spacer. Brilliant! Should be the same ride as 6112 with different c-clip location I say. The down side is it's $170. Add that to the $630 PTR13-35150 and we're at $800. Now we are pretty close to the 6112/5160 price. Hate when that happens.

So called Thompson Toyota about the 532 price and apparently even though I said I could pick it up they said the online price is incorrect and that the actual price is 684. So whoever is running their parts department is spitting out all kinds of misinformation.

My dealer is quoting me 570 for the kit so this is a little cheaper to justify, and when its still 300 cheaper then the 6112 kit after AAL then I think I'm gonna pull the trigger at this point. Thanks for finding that pic though that helped my thought process alot lol.

I ordered from OEM Part World after I posted my message about Thompson's cancelling my order. My kit has already shipped and I have a UPS tracking number. Total shipped to California was $607.10 which isn't as good as the Thompson's deal (where they won't ship). Impressed at how quickly these shipped. I submitted my order at 10:34 AM Pacific and I had a tracking number by 11:52 AM Pacific.

$532 is the cost to the dealer which is why they don’t want to sell them for that. Most places are selling at wholesaler pricing

Ya, mine should be here on Monday from OEM. They were quicker than Conicelli, but a little more expensive. Cancelled Conicellli order, so they will have one sitting.

I'm only seeing 6112's with springs. How would one get just the shocks? Maybe i'm just not finding em. Anyone know the spring rate with the ones that come with the 6112's. Said 0-.6" lift on lowest setting, so surely they are a lighter spring rate? I dont know that i really want to load up springs again, after my 5100 ride.

Ordered mine today from dealer, I got my truck from $610 out the door. They will be in on Tuesday 02/20 Wisconsin. I saw someone else got theirs in WI also for less $575. I called a few dealers and they were allover the board on pricing. Most around $700+
