First ever Tacoma, first ever truck...picked up a 2018 TRD Off-Road DCSB 4x4 in Super White...got it to get into dirtbiking, mountain biking, getting out there and also as a replacement to my WRX for my ski trip vehicle. Also, can now go shooting out on some BLM land nearby.

Picked her up two weeks ago for $1,000 under invoice :D

First mods are all simple pleasures and accessories I've been oogling while researching the truck.

    Just installed TacomaVinylDecal's tailgate letters.

Nice - I like the grip and feel of the Shield but hate the trigger on the original M&P's...definitely going to buy a M&P Shield 2.0 but truck stuff has taken over my budget for now.

I had a shield too but didn’t like the trigger pull either. Traded it in for this one and love it. A little bulkier but 16 rounds is nice!

Plasti-Dip'd my badges. V6 one didn't turn out, going to have to redo it tomorrow. Kind of disappointed in how the "middle" of the letters turned out too. It breaks away pretty rough. I used a plastic fork to "pick" it out...any ideas on how to make it better?

Hit 1,000 miles today too, only had her 2 weeks. :annoyed: Need to slow it down a little...drive the '98 Corolla to work more, lol. I have a 80+ mile commute each way.

    None... sigh
Curious how the grille works with the sensor. I've heard of some needing calibration and some not.

Majority of people I've read stated they didn't calibrate, even with a lift. Therefore, I'm not worried about moving it a few inches down on the Pro grill. Additionally, if you load your truck with a trailer, etc., that would change the angle of the truck as well and therefore I'm sure Toyota's software calculates for that.
