    Morning friends!
Too many pages behind so I've missed last nights shenanigans. I fell asleep in the recliner watching the Olympics. Woke up, went to bed and stared at the ceiling...

I read an article a while back were Rusty Wallace and team were at Daytona or Talladega for a test day. It was nothing official so the NASCAR Stasi were limited. They decided to take the restrictor plate off and Rusty would take the car for a spin. This was during aero days that the cars looked like super latemodels. Well Rusty kicked it in the ass and was hauling off into the first turn at 200+ and when he hit the back straight he was north of 220, he remembered the car seemingly not wanting to turn headin into turn three. Just when he thought he gonna be greasy skid mark on the wall the car hooked and the next thing he remembered was he was headin into turn one. He feathered outa the gas and let the car coast back to the garage. Gets outa the car once he got his strength back and tells the team put the plate back and we won’t do that again. The NASCAR Stasi that was there saw the shenanigans and told them, do that again and yer done.

Simple, if they rented the track for test they can do what they want. That’s why they call it testing.
Non NASCAR EVENT. Not official. Bite me..
We rented the local track for some testing a few of our cars. We went around the track backwards, forwards, sideways. We were testing.

Morning, if I remember correctly Bill Elliott hit 221 qualifying at Talladaga in is Ford Thunderbird. Pretty sure it was pre restrictor Plate.

Unfortunately I love the idea of go for broke but reality is physics plays the killjoy.
These tracks can’t handle the speed. Spectators need to be safe too.
    It’s a double edge sword.

    This is True.

It amazes me how the cars mechanically stay together at the speeds they hit on the Big Tracks. If none of you have never gone to watch the race live at a super speedway, I highly recommended it. It’s definitely a rush and an awesome experience.

Good morning. 4° and woke up to snow. It wasn't supposed to snow. At least it is Friday they got that right.

A lot of Curling Centers in Mn. and Wi. Over on the Wi. side of the River I can pretty much guarantee you that drinking is also involved. First learned that shooing clays. You win in Wi. or place in top 10 you get booze in one form or another. Mn. you get a meat tray of steaks. Youngest son when he was 15 was High Gun one weekend and won a huge bottle of Southern Comfort and lit up like a Christmas tree. I didn't say it was good booze.
